Fork dust seals are fitted at the top of the fork leg and help prevent dirt, dust, mud and water from reaching the fork oil seals and internal suspension components.
Worn, cracked or hardened dust seals can allow contamination into the fork assembly, increasing wear and potentially causing premature failure of the internal fork oil seals.

These are fork dust seals. If your forks are leaking suspension oil, the internal fork oil seals may also require replacement.
